Jack Murawczyk ’23

Jack is a Senior in his fourth year writing for the Gryphon Gazette. Jack loves to work on news and op-ed style articles, with a focus on geopolitics and world history. In his free time, he likes to read, play soccer with friends, and cook (especially lasagna, cinnamon rolls, and french toast). He used to live in Italy and is looking forward to a great year with the Gazette!

Jasmyn Mirsepahi ’23

Jasmyn is a senior at Crystal in her fourth year with the Gryphon Gazette. She is interested in languages and current technologies and writes about a variety of topics, but she most enjoys writing about student life. Jasmyn loves running, listening to music, reading, eating chocolate, and snowy weather. She was born in New York City and knows every word to every One Direction song.

Alex Rojas ’23

Alex is a senior in his second year of contributing to the Gazette. He enjoys speaking and writing on the subjects of sports, specifically soccer (football), entrepreneurship, and business. He records weekly podcast episodes in his free time (Post2Post on all podcast platforms) and plays basketball.

Allison Huh ’25

Allison Huh is a Sophomore, in her second year with the Gryphon Gazette. In her free time, Allison loves travel, graphic design, going on walks, and curling up with a good murder mystery. Allison enjoys writing about current events and culture and is looking forward to writing with the Gazette!

Aryav Desai ’23

Aryav Desai is a senior in his third year of writing with the Gryphon Gazette. Aryav loves to write reviews, satire, and about the entertainment industry. His interests include, but are not limited to film, music, comedy, acting, basket-weaving at the novice level, and intermediate hobby-horsing. A fun fact about Aryav would likely be joyless and derivative.

Claire Zhong ’26

Claire Zhong is a freshman in her first year of Gryphon Gazette. She’s interested in writing about media and culture, current events as well as student life and sports. Claire just moved to the Bay Area from San Diego, where she has lived all her life, at the beginning of the school year. She plays golf as well as 3 different instruments.

Drew Smith ’23

Drew Smith is a senior and a first-time Gazette guy! Admittedly, he is not fantastic at writing bios but hopes to improve upon his creative writing skills over the course of the year by working with such talented writers! As an avid photographer, he also hopes to pair his art with writing to add a whole new layer to create a fully produced product.

Eldrich David ’24

Eldrich David is a junior who is a new member of the Gryphon Gazette. Eldrich loves to stay updated on the overall mental health and lives of his peers at Crystal, as well as occasionally peering into the world of space and science. If he’s not getting lost on YouTube or playing basketball, he’s probably watching anime or playing video games.

Ethan Lee ’25

Ethan is a Sophomore at Crystal in his second year as a writer for Gryphon Gazette. He enjoys writing and filmmaking about the entertainment industry, culture, media, and current events. His interests include but are not limited to sports, film, music, and entrepreneurship. A fun fact about Ethan is that he plays golf and is a movie buff.

Isabelle Huang ’26

Izzy Huang is a 9th grader and it is her first year in Gryphon Gazette. She likes writing about culture, media, and current events. In her free time, Izzy likes to play video games, spend time with friends, and play sports. 

Jacob Davila ’25

Jacob Davila is a sophomore in his first year at Gryphon Gazette. He enjoys writing about sports, music, tech, and current events. He loves playing golf, guitar, and hanging out with friends in his free time.

Kai Labouisse ’26

Kai Labouisse is a Freshman in his first year with the Gryphon Gazette. He likes to write about current world events, usually relating to history and political conflict. In his free time, Kai enjoys playing guitar, playing tennis, and hanging out with friends. He also loves to travel, which may have inspired his interest in current events and the world. Kai is looking forward to a great year with the Gazette.

Karina Shpilberg ’26

Karina is a freshman in her first year with the Gryphon Gazette. She is interested in writing about current events, student life, and media. In her free time, she enjoys playing basketball and volleyball, reading, and listening to music.

Luke Iannuccilli ’23

Luke is a senior going on his fourth year of writing with the Gryphon Gazette. He enjoys reading books, playing football and basketball, and watching movies and TV shows like New Girl and the Office.

Oliver Boesch ’25

Ollie is a sophomore and is in his first year with the Gryphon Gazette. Ollie loves to write articles regarding sports and current events, specifically focusing on business and entrepreneurship. In his free time, he likes to run, watch movies, play soccer, and read the news.

Patrick Riley ’23

Patrick Riley is a senior and is in his second year with the Gryphon Gazette. Patrick loves to play tennis and board games in his free time, and is looking forward to writing articles about various games and life at Crystal. He also has two adorable dogs and can’t wait to keep writing!

Rohan Dalal ’25

Rohan Dalal is a sophomore in his second year with the Gryphon Gazette. Rohan enjoys working on news and Op-Ed articles, as well as the Science and Tech section. In his free time, Rohan loves to play football, listen and play music, and participate in debate. 

Ryan Goldberg ’23

Ryan Goldberg is a senior at Crystal Springs. This is his first year joining Gazette where he will be writing about cinema and film studies. His favorite film is Dutch movie The Forgotten Battle directed by Matthijs van Heijningen Jr. He is interested in politics and has a passion for history.

Sheridan Stewart ’26

Sheridan Stewart is a freshman in her first year with the Gryphon Gazette. She is interested in writing about Student Life, Arts, and Current Events. In her free time, Sheridan enjoys musical theatre, golf, debate, and reading.   

Spencer Morse-deBrier ’25

Spencer is a Sophomore in his second year with the Gazette. Spencer is interested in law and the Federal Judiciary. In his free time, he sometimes reads judicial documents of importance. Spencer is excited to write about the Supreme Court and other judicial events.

Viraj Iyengar ’23

Viraj is a senior at Crystal Springs Uplands School and enjoys writing about politics, current events, and law. Outside of school, he rows, participates in Model UN, and tries to stay as informed as he can.

Yuto Kimura ’23

Yuto is a senior and is in his third year at the Gryphon Gazette. Yuto is interested in learning and writing about current events and politics. Outside of school, Yuto enjoys playing music (piano and violin), occasionally plays tennis, and is excited to join Gazette this year.
