By: Meghna M. (‘21)

In the midst of tests, homework, and other stressful items popping up on our calendars, we know that Crystal students are always finding new ways to procrastinate. What better way to put off work for as long as possible than starting your next favorite TV show? To help speed up the process of choosing which show to watch next, I’ve come up with a list of the top five TV shows on Netflix to binge watch as procrastination.

5. White Collar

Although this show is not as well known as the other shows I will mention, that doesn’t make it any less deserving of a spot on this list. The show centers on actor Matt Bomer as Neal Caffrey, a former conman and thief, and Tim DeKay as Special Agent Peter Burke of the FBI. These two intelligent men join forces to solve many difficult ‘white collar’ crimes throughout the 6 seasons of the show, aided by Caffrey’s many years of experience as a conman.

  1. The Office

This popular documentary-style show is set at a paper company based in Scranton, Pennsylvania called Dunder-Mifflin. The show focuses on the characters’ everyday lives, many of whom are based on stereotypical office workers. If you’re looking for laughs, this show is the way to go. There are nine seasons of this show on Netflix.

  1. Friends

Friends is a comedy show about a group of friends, 3 men and 3 women, living in Manhattan. The show focuses on the lives of each of the friends as well as their various relationships. Many of the friends date other members of the group, leading to eventual breakups and lots of drama. There are ten seasons of this show available on Netflix.

  1. Stranger Things

This hugely popular Netflix original series has two seasons with nine episodes each and is available on Netflix. It centers on a group of young people around the age of 13. If you’re looking for a fast paced sci-fi show which features another dimension and some paranormal characters, this show is definitely one that you should start watching.

  1. Grey’s Anatomy

This show has thirteen seasons available on Netflix, making it ideal for binge watching. Grey’s Anatomy is a medical drama about a group of surgeons who work at Seattle Grace Hospital in Washington. The show’s main character is Meredith Gray, played by Ellen Pompeo, and the show centers around her life both at and outside of the hospital.
